(More customer reviews)We have been using the Audiovox 128A for a month now and couldn't be happier with it. The picture and sound are great and the controls are easy to access and use. I have a Ford Freestyle and the screen size is just about the right size for this vehicle. The bulit in FM modulaor is great and it is easy to find a new station if the one you selected has static. Being able to choose between 16 stations is nice. My last system let me choose betwen 3 stations. I installed this myself and it was not too difficult. However, I am familier with auto electrical systems, so if you are not, I would recommend a professional do it for you.

DVD Player The VOD128A features an integrated side-loading DVD player for enjoying your favorite movies.
The player boasts a multi-lingual on-screen display for control of picture quality, functions, etc. and standard DVD features like Last Position Memory are included.
You can also play back your favorite CDs, or even MP3 data CDs chock full of your favorite tunes.
USB/SD Card Inputs Throw your favorite MP3s on a USB device or SD Card for enjoyment in your vehicle.
A/V Inputs Two audio/video source inputs (VIDEO 1, VIDEO 2) and a rear "smart port" (VIDEO 3) are included for attaching external devices like video game systems, video cameras, and more.
Or use the auxiliary input to connect external audio devices like MP3 players.
An A/V output is also included for system expansion, if you'd like to add an additional monitor.
Wireless Headphones The VOD128A includes a built-in infrared transmitter for use with the two supplied wireless headphones. The headphone volume is adjusted independently, using the controls on each headset.
Any number of wireless headphones may be used but they must be used within a line of sight from the transmitter, as infrared transmissions, like visible light travel only in a straight line.
If you've got a pair of standard, wired headphones you'd like to use, just plug them into the side headphone output.
Wireless Video Game Entertainment Two wireless video game controllers are included, along with 30 preloaded video games.
Wireless Remote A full-function wireless remote is also included for easy control of your device without reaching for the roof. Backlit controls make use in the dark a snap.

(More customer reviews)I bought the PLRD-92 and I have to say, that it DOES have a built in IR Transmitter. I bought a set of wireless headphones and they work GREAT. the sound quality is excellent, even to the Radio thru the built in FM Transmitter. I contacted PYLE prior to making this purchase and they told me that the unit DOES come with built in IR Transmitter. I don't understand why people here on Amazon reviews are saying otherwise. You do have to keep in mind that wireless headphones ONLY work when they are in-front of the unit, not behind it. it is a safety feature to keep people from using the wireless heaphones while driving. The side with the LED lights on this unit should be facing back, because it is on that side of the unit that the IR sensors are located. The signal to the headphones is automatically disconnected when the headphones go past the point where the IR sensor is located. again, ITS A SAFETY FEATURE. I am very happy with my PLRD-92 and HIGHLY reccomend it to anyone in search of an affordable Pulldown DVD player for their vehicle.

(More customer reviews)This product is great (now that it is installed). The video is clear and resolution is better than I had expected. There are issues installing the device if you are not an experienced auto A/V installer. The bluetooth function is a nice speaker phone add on feature with some minor issues.
Lets get to the chase, the reason I only give three stars, the owners manual (if you can call it that) sucks! It is a single page of paper divided in to four sections. One part covering the remote control, one part covering the function keys on the panel, one part covering bluetooth functionality, and one part with an incomplete wiring diagram. I say the wiring diagram is incomplete because there is an entire set of wires (used to power the camera) not shown.
The entire written instructions for installation are:
1. Disconnect the negative lead of the battery before making power connections
2. When creating passage holes for the power wires, use grommets to eliminate any sharp edges created during drilling.
3. When connecting the ground lead, fasten the ground lead securely to a clean metal plate on the vehicle.
I thought surely I was missing something. I went to the Pyle website only to find the manual listed as "comming soon". I sent an email to their support department and received a reply with no text, only an attachment of the same single page of useless paper. If you are not experienced with installing these devices you should seek professional installation.
During the installation you will need likely need a cable to extend the video/power feed to the screen. The cable provided was not remotely long enough for me to route in a concealed manner. Fortunately you only need a simple mouse extension cable for this. Aside from the mouse extension cable the only other item needed was a short piece (2 feet depending on your vehicle)of small gauge wire to connect the two inches of provided reverse wire to your vehicle's back up circuit.
Pairing the bluetooth is easy, probably the only thing clearly written in the "manual". The microphone is on the back of the screen picking up voices reflected off the windshield. Callers report a far away sound, but clearly audible. I found hearing the other party quite easy. The biggest drawback is a lack of ability to connect to the phone without using the phone. When I climb in the car I must pull my phone out of my pocket and go into the menu to search for the devise in order to connect. While driving, when receiving a call, there is no way to answer the phone from the screen. You must answer the phone at the phone, making this not truly hands free. Still it beats wearing a stupid earpiece when I am not on the phone.
Overall good performance from a product designed for first time DYI.

But it does its primary functions great. Very similar features as Alpine PKG-RSE2, but much cheaper.. I am very happy with my purchase.. Also it comes with two color options.. one of the color matched perfectly with my vehicle interior color. So, it looks like a stock unit..
