The Green Hornet is an upcoming 2011 superhero action/adventure film directed by Michel Gondry. The film is scheduled to be released on January 14, 2011. It is an adaptation of the radio and television character The Green Hornet. Britt Reid (Seth Rogen), the son of wealthy newspaper publisher James Reid (Tom Wilkinson), is a ne-er do well playboy who takes no interest in doing good with his life. After hearing devestating news of his father's mysterious death, Britt becomes the owner of his media empire and meets an employee named Kato (Jay Chou), who's more than he appears. After realizing that Kato secretly has a cache of weapons and utilities, Britt decides that the two should use their mental and crimefighting skills for good, taking on the identity of the Green Hornet.
