(More customer reviews)This was not quite what I was expecting. It does convert VGA to HDMI, but it only accepts certain VGA resolutions.
I was hoping to use my laptop (which has 1920x1080 output on a DB-15 port) to display 1080 video on my HDTV.
The problem is that this unit only accepts the following input resolutions:
640x480 60Hz 75Hz
800x600 60Hz 75Hz
1024x768 60Hz 75Hz
1280x720 60Hz 75Hz
1280x768 60Hz 75Hz
1280x960 60Hz 75Hz
1280x1024 60Hz 75Hz
Since only 1280x768 is a widescreen format, you are basically limited to 720 format video.
