(More customer reviews)I've had the SV-100H Projector for a couple of weeks now. I actually bought it on ebay, but the price is similar to the one on Amazon. First off, I should announce that the SV-100H is NOT a HD projector! It is HD compatible, which means that it can 'recognize' a HD signal, and play the picture. The native resolution is 800x600 and it will not actually make any image at a higher resolution than 800x600, but it will downscale higher resolutions to be played. You can notice the pixels, which does bother some people, but the pixels are not TOO bad.
That being said, the image quality is GREAT for this price!! NATIVE RESOLUTION IS NOT EVERYTHING, I used to have a name brand projector with 1024x768 native resolution, and I promise you that the SV-100H has WAY better image quality! The HDMI connector counts for a lot on this baby, when you plug in the HDMI, image quality is terrific.
Now, this is obviously one of those cheap Asian knock-off products, but among the cheap Asian knock-off projectors, this is probably the best. I looked into it, and most of the others are only 640x480 native resolution, while this one is 800x600.
I bought this projector instead of an flat screen HDTV (in the same price range) and I made the right choice. The image quality on this projector -clearly- blows an old tube TV out of the water. The picture is not as good as a flat screen HDTV, but it's not much worse either, and for this price you can not get a HDTV bigger than 25 inches. The projector can make HUGE pictures easily.
This projector is a lot of fun, you can plug just about anything in to it, and it's very light weight. I can easily stuff it into my little backpack and take it to my friends house, it plugs in with a simple power cable that a typical computer uses. The projector is very cheaply made, thin plastic, cheap parts, it's somewhat fragile, but keep in mind that you generally don't touch a projector. I personally am grateful for it being so cheaply made, because that makes it cheap to buy, I couldn't care less if it were made of wood shavings. The picture is awesome and it is very simple to use. I don't know if you can buy replacement bulbs here on Amazon, but the ebay seller 'bluefly' sells bulbs upon request for $30 which is an amazing price considering the lamp life. Other projector bulbs can sell for the price of this whole projector! In the range of $150 to $250, and they often have shorter reported lamp lifespan.
I have my SV-100H projector connected via HDMI to my Playstation 3, and via AV cable to my digital TV converter, and it's so much fun to go in my room and be able to play and watch TV on my entire wall. It's got a pretty quick start up time, but is a bit slow to cool off.
It is sort of a noisy projector, it's got a couple big fans in it, and they spin very hard to keep the projector cool. However, it also has an internal speaker, and that speaker can get impressively loud. I've opted to use the internal speaker for watching TV daily and am very happy with the audio.
My conclusion, it's a cheap projector, it's cheaply built, but it's good where it counts. It is by no means a good projector in comparison to true HD projectors, but it is sold at a price that will make you feel proud for buying it. This is not a projector for very picky people, but for a family, your kids will flip out at being able to watch movies on the whole wall. Would be an awesome gift for teens, gamers, the image is good enough to spot far away targets in-game. I imagine it would be great for presentations. To get a name brand projector that gives you compatibility and image quality like this one, you would be looking at spending over $800
Personally I am VERY happy with my purchase of this projector!!!! I'm not too picky though.

Well I've been using the projector for a little over two weeks now, about 20 hours of run time on the bulb, and the bulb just burnt out. The person I bought it from on ebay says "I would be happy to send a new bulb for free, just pay shipping. $30" When they told me the bulb itself would be $30 last time I asked. Jerks.
I won't change my star rating, because I still really liked the projector..

It has a lot of nice Features for the price and most importantly the picture it provides is fantastic . now this is not some $1500 - $4000 projector so dont expect the same picture your gona get out of a 1080p LCD , LED or Plasma TV but it certinly holds its own . it has both a 4:3 and 16:9 aspect ratio but only will project 16:9 in and through HDMI. i dont know why it wont support it through HD/AV cables . i use it for both my PS3 and 360 and games and blu ray movies. they play and work great on it . you get a nice bright and vibrant picture out of this unit espicialy in darkness . it looks pretty good with just alittle bit of light but like most projectors the darker the better . it has a 1800 lumins lens . now if you dont know if 1800 is good or not . its considered that 1500 is good and 2000 is great .
i would have given this projector 4 1/2 stars if i could . what holds it from being 5 stars are a few things . it is alittle noisy but not annoyingly bad . i never really notice the noise it makes after 2 min but some people may be abit more picky then me . The menue navigation is abit of a pain though espicialy with the remote . it also has what most LCD projectors produce as well the " screen window " which means what it sounds like but this is only ever noticable if you are close to the screen like with in 7-8 feet and i sit 14 feet away from the screen and have it projected at 100" which is the max recomended size and i dont see it . the most annoying thing is the instruction manuel ... i mean who wrote this thing a cave man !? its not very helpful very vague . i will give you one of the lines from this thing . "When the thunder happen or long time no use , please pull the power cable out of projector" i mean i got some laughs out of it atleast . just dont expect the manuel to give you much help.
also make sure you have a surround sound system for this thing the audio out of the projector is pretty bad .
In the end though for a $320 projector this is a great deal if i paid $600 or $700 i wouldn't feel like i got ripped off one bit . so if you are lookin to build a nice home theater system i would highly recomend the HTP LCD Projector if you dont wana break the bank . i built mine for $700 when u include the projector , 100" screen , Sony bravia Surround sound and a few odds and ends things like cables . I deffinitly feel like i have the movie expericance in my house and every one els who has seen it says the same thing.

(More customer reviews)It doesn't say on the page but this appears to be the Digital Galaxy 737. Overall I'm having a good feeling with mine. I custom built my own projector in the past, which gave mediocre quality and was huge, loud, and cumbersome. This unit definitely outperforms any DIY projector and is probably more practical economically.
Pros: The unit claims 2000-2500 lumen's and I believe its pretty close. It throws an image over 100" at about 10-11ft and still looks very good respectful of distance. The bulb as I understand costs $38-40 which is very agreeable if you plan to do a lot of TV viewing or gaming. Keystoning is pretty straightforward. Internal speaker is quite nice too, but that's not why you'd buy it. Unless you're a movie buff, I wouldn't say you need a pitch black room to see the picture, its pretty decent in ambient 1pm draped windowed rooms.
Cons: Yes it is LOUD. It maybe possible to replace the inner fan with something quieter, but I haven't cracked mine open yet to see. The plastic twist focus on the front lens is quite stiff, and you feel as if your going to break it. The image settings in the menu don't do very much at all for the picture, and switching inputs on the remote is a little unintuitive. The 800x600 resolution is a letdown if your a PC gamer like me, but ideally it is best for console video resolution. Also, be aware that HDMI-in does not equal HDMI-out on this unit since its merely pushing 800x600, it is a more convenient connector but that's about it, I really couldn't tell the difference between the HDMI input and the composite.
Other Notes: I was unable to get an HDTV signal from a TIVAX ATSC converter box to the NTSC coax on the unit, it kept reporting no signal however it did work through the composite RCA connectors. Bottom line: This unit is great for those starting off with projectors and console gamers looking to save money.
