(More customer reviews)I was afraid this system wouldn't be worth it since most movies are still in 5.1 however, the true HD audio does use all 8 channels. Sometimes it is rather chilling on a scary movie when the extra two channels in the rear pick up an unexpected sound. A lot nicer than my old bose 5.1 The picture is also incredible w/ regular and especially blu-ray dvd's.
