(More customer reviews)I bought the set for usage with my new 3D home theater. The emitter is well engineered and looks really nice. It has a bottom piece that can attached with screws to the ceiling or any other surface. I have chosen to put it to the ceiling where it doesn't disturb, anyway from there u have optimal position for the IR to reach all glasses in the room (10'x12'). On the opposite side to the emitter array u can find two switches, one for setting the IR protocol and one for switching the polarity. The emitter array can be easily turned around 360° to find the optimal position.
The package contained also a pair of the X-type glasses that I must say didn't fullfilled my expectations. For glasses wearer the X-type is not the right product because they aren't very wide. Another annoying detail is that the rectangular LCD pannels aren't very big, so if I sit on the second row of my home thater (about 10' away from the screen) it is almost impossible to have all the screen in the visual field while looking through the glasses. Perhaps this wouldn't be a problem for "normal" people who don't wear glasses :-) because in this case the LCD pannels are much closer to the eye and the visual field through the glasses is getting bigger. Nevertheles the very function of the glasses for 3D viewing (shutter activity) was ok. I will continue using the emitter in my home theater with my Nvidia glasses, they perform really perfect together with the emitter.
