(More customer reviews)I have had several of these from different makers and I find this one to be the best for the money. While others claim it is noisy, I can say this one is whisper quiet. I play mainly movies on mine from a 1TB external hard drive that plugs in the front of this unit (actually has 2 ports for 2 hard drives or memory at the same time). It plays 99% of my movies with no problem, while every once in a while some movies will not play the sound (I blame the source file, not the unit). It has some great options in the menu, my favorite option lets you view your show in Pan mode, Widescreen or Full no matter what the original source is recorded in.
