(More customer reviews)When I ordered the Micca Mplay, I wasn't quite sure what to expect. I wanted to make this video review so that other Amazon shoppers could see what they're getting. All in all, I do like it and I'm glad I made the purchase. With that being said, it's not a perfect device but it does the job:
Pros:
* The price was reasonable.
* Plays most of the Standard Definition file types (I use it mainly for AVI files)
* Fast startup time.
* Plays MP3s.
* The remote control has been responsive. Great for when you don't feel like getting off the couch.
Cons:
* I've had problems with the fast-forward/rewind features. Once in a while this will actually cause the file to stop playing, which is annoying when you're already 20 minutes into a video.
* It doesn't play High Definition file types. I knew this when I bought it, but it would be a nice feature to have. I would highly recommend this device to anyone who wants to easily play video files on their TV. If you have a High Definition TV, spring for a player that supports high definition files and HDMI.
